Setting Up Your First Product in Konfiwear

By the end of this guide, you'll have a fully configured product ready for your customers to customize in the 3D customizer — complete with assets, pricing, sizes, and a live 3D preview.

Before You Begin

Make sure you have the following ready:

  • An active Konfiwear account with admin or owner access

  • A product thumbnail image (PNG or JPEG, recommended 800×800px or higher)

  • A 3D model file in GLB format (if available — you can add this later)

  • Your pricing structure (quantity tiers and per-unit prices)

  • Your size run (which sizes you offer for this product)

⚠️ Important: Your plan determines the maximum number of active products you can maintain. Check your plan limits under Settings → Billing before adding new products.

Setup Instructions

1. Navigate to the Products page

From your account dashboard, click Products in the left sidebar. This opens the Products list showing all your existing products.

2. Open the product creation form

Click the Add Product button in the top-right corner of the Products page.

💡 Tip: If you started from the onboarding wizard, you may already have library products in your catalog. You can edit those instead of creating from scratch.

3. Fill in the product information

💡 Tip: Upload your thumbnail first, even if you don't have a 3D model yet. It gives your team a visual reference in the product list immediately.

6. Configure pricing tiers

In the right column, locate the Pricing card. Click Add New to create your first pricing tier.

Each tier defines a quantity range and a per-unit price:

Click Save after adding each tier. You can delete any tier using the trash icon on its row.

7. Set up your size run

In the right column, locate the Sizes card. Click Add size to add each size you offer.

Enter the size code (e.g., S, M, L, XL, 2XL) in the dialog and confirm. Repeat for each size in your range.

💡 Tip: If you have per-size sewing pattern SVGs, you can upload them after adding each size. See the Per-Size Pattern SVGs guide for details.

8. Verify the 3D preview

If you uploaded a GLB model, the Preview card in the right column renders a live 3D viewer. Rotate and zoom the model to confirm it looks correct. If no GLB is uploaded, you'll see your thumbnail image or a placeholder icon.

Verify It Works

Follow these steps to confirm your product is fully configured:

  1. Navigate back to Products and confirm your new product appears in the list with the correct name, category, and status badge

  2. Click into the product and verify all four sections show data: assets, pricing, sizes, and preview

  3. If the product is enabled, open your customizer URL to confirm the product appears for customers

Done! Your product is configured and ready. Customers with access to your customizer can now select this product and begin designing.

Troubleshooting

The 3D preview shows a placeholder icon instead of my model Confirm that you uploaded a .glb file (not .gltf or another format) in the Assets card. Refresh the page after upload completes.

My product doesn't appear in the customizer Check that the Enabled toggle is set to on. Also verify that the product's category matches a category visible in your customizer settings.

Asset upload fails or hangs Ensure your file meets the size and format requirements. If the issue persists, check that your browser allows pop-ups and redirects from the Konfiwear domain. Contact support if the problem continues.
